IT Customer service Specialist

We are a leading Managed Services Provider based in Chicago, IL. Our company offers a range of IT solutions to small and medium-sized businesses in the area. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and delivering innovative solutions to our clients. We are seeking a Level 1 Help Desk Technician to join our team.
The IT Customer Service Specialist will provide technical support to our clients via phone, email, and remote assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer hardware and software, and excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. This position is an entry-level role with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
- Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote assistance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer hardware, software, and network connectivity
- Install and configure software and hardware for clients
- Document and track all support requests and resolutions in a help desk ticketing system
- Escalate more complex issues to Level 2 or Level 3 technicians as needed
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times
- Continuously develop knowledge and skills related to IT support and industry trends
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- High school diploma or equivalent, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support or a related field
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Windows and Office applications
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems preferred
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) a plus
